We have started operating Komeda’s Coffee Higashiikebukuro 1 chome store in Toshima, Tokyo since October 2021. With the concept of “creating the cleanest restroom space in Ikebukuro” and “providing a comfortable space for families with children and wheelchair users,” we aim to utilize our strengths in urban development and space creation to provide a space where many people can feel relaxed and at ease.
Komeda’s Coffee’s essence lies in its aspiration to be the “city’s living room” where everyone feels at home. Komeda’s Coffee offers a variety of ways to feel the sense of “Kutsurogi”, in another word “relaxation” in English.
We have a strong commitment to providing delicious food; in-house bread production, free morning toast with a beverage order, and high-quality flour from carefully selected sources.
From the moment you open the door until the time you leave, we serve you with a sense of hospitality to make you feel “at home” at Komeda’s Coffee.
Our dedication to providing a sense of “relaxation” through coffee includes using our own original blended beans roasted and brewed by our own method, and the design of our original cups for a pleasant mouthfeel.
● Installation of a Nursing Room
We have installed a nursing room to provide a comfortable space for those with small children. We have created this space so that people of child-rearing age can feel free to use it at any time.
● Stroller Rental Service
We offer a rental location for strollers, Babycal, with no usage restrictions. BabyCal rental center can be used for up to 7 days (168 hours) across multiple days. Reservations can be made in advance.
● Electricity outlets at all seats
With the increasing encouragement of remote work, cases where work can be done with a computer or smartphone have become more common. Against this backdrop, we feel that there is a stronger need than ever for places where people can charge their batteries. We have installed power outlets at all seats to ensure convenience for both work and private use.
● Installation of barrier-free restrooms and elevators
We have barrier-free restrooms for wheelchair users and LGBTQ individuals. In addition, there is an elevator in the building, so customers with strollers are welcome to use it.
It is a 5-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station and a 1-minute walk from Sunshine 60 Street.
